Its main objective is to regulate the entry and exit of goods and ensure their legal stay within the national territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Customs offices are located at strategic points relevant to the country\u2019s commercial activity and are classified into three main types:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Land customs offices:<\/strong> These are responsible for controlling the flow of goods transported by road and rail. They are located at border access points where both commercial and private transportation moves across.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Maritime customs offices:<\/strong> Located in port infrastructure, they regulate maritime trade and supervise the transit of various types of goods. In the northern border region, there are 19 customs offices, while the southern border has only 2.
