According to data from INEGI, Mexico reached $146.98 billion USD in exports during the second quarter of 2025, reflecting a year-over-year growth of 5.2%.
This growth was primarily driven by the manufacturing sector, while mining and agriculture experienced declines.
Here’s a breakdown of the top 10 exporting states in Mexico during 2025, based on total export value.
It’s worth noting that these 10 states together accounted for over 70% of the country’s total exports during Q2 2025:
1. Chihuahua
Mexico’s top exporting state, with $26.23 billion USD in sales (17.8%).

2. Coahuila
Generated $17.73 billion USD in exports (12.1%).

3. Nuevo León
Achieved $14.47 billion USD in exports, with an annual increase of 5%.

4. Baja California
Despite a 5.1% annual decrease, it remained in the Top 10 with $13.63 billion USD in exports.

Experienced a surprising 40.9% annual increase, totaling $10.25 billion USD in exports.
